Running Accomplishments:

I have only run 2 marathon's in my life.... Grandma's in 2002 and Twin Cities in 2008. I just finished nothing spectacular.... This last year I got the running bug so here we are.... Let's see what happens!

Short-Term Running Goals:

I told myself that I was not going to run anymore Marathon's until I am 50.... Well, that didn't work! I have been talked into signing up for 35th running of Grandma's Marathon on June 18th, 2011... I have had running friends who have qualified for Boston and it has inspired me to see if I could qualify. So I guess we will see how it goes... Wish me luck.....

Long-Term Running Goals:

OK!! Maybe Boston should be my Long-term goal..... hmmm?

I am happily Married, with a big dog and no children yet!!!

Well, I had a pretty good Xmas but I am glad it is over! I have ate to much crap and gained to much weight over this time. Anyways I ran today and I was all by myself today... I think most people are off work this week because of Xmas.

So I ran Swede Hallow my usual route but instead of running just 3miles, I ran 4 miles and I ran it in 33:29. This comes out to a pace of 8:22, which isn't to bad considering the conditions.  I believe it was about 18 degrees out with a slight breeze but atleast it was sunny out which helped....  My legs still feel like cement blocks too!!!

What a warm day today!! I believe it was around 35 degrees when I went for my run today. I ran 5 miles up through Swede Hallow from the Y today and it took me 43:47. Which comes out to a pace of 8:45, which is not bad and I am happy with it. I am still feeling slugish and my feet are still sore from running in the snow.  What a beautiful day though, sun shining no wind, I actually felt like I had to many layers of clothes on.... I won't be saying that this coming weekend when the single digit for highs comes to town.....

Keep on moving!!!

So Rainy and 38 degrees!! I'll take it.... Better then what is coming this weekend!!!

Well, I had company today for my run... Thanks Jessica for running with me in the rain. We just ran you guessed it....Swede Hallow 4 mile route in 34:01 with an overall pace of 8:30. Sure felt warm out and I was over dressed again... Anyway it was fun trying to dodge all those slush puddles.

Last run of the year for me... It sure has been fun!  I got my act together this morning and headed out for a long run. It cooled down from yesterdays mid 30's down to about 15F, with slight breeze and looking gloomy... More snow is on its way the news says this morning and will be here sometime this afternoon. I ran for 1:28:41 which came out to be 10.3 miles on Gmaps Pedometer. The pace average comes out to 8:37, which I am happy with. The breeze was cold and I should have worn something over my face. (You live and learn)  My legs are finally feeling better and not like a pair cement blocks. I am excited for the New Year to come. It will be fun to see how I can progress with my running.  You just have to keep moving, one stride at a time and never give up….

Why do I run?  Because I can!!!
